A Little Night Music

Pace School of Performing Arts
March–April 2017

About the Production

I acted as an Assistant Director/Dramaturg for Pace University’s A Little Night Music, directed by Roger Ellis, which was presented from March 29–April 8, 2017, at the Schaberle Studios, 41 Park Row, 10th Floor, New York.

Sondheim and Wheeler create a stunning tour de force when transforming Ingmar Bergman’s comedy of manners, Smiles of a Summer Night, into a musical of masterful execution and elegance. Winner of four Tony Awards, this is a musical work that has forever entranced the world of theatre. A Little Night Music explores the tangled web of affairs centered around actress, Désirée Armfeldt, and the men who love her. Both men—as well as their jealous wives—agree to join Désirée and her family for a weekend in the country at Désirée’s mother’s estate. With everyone in one place, infinite possibilities of new romances and second chances bring endless surprises.

Featuring: Erica Malachowski, Natalie Braha (National Tour: Kinky Boots), Leana Rae Concepcion, Iris Sharp, Hanako Greensmith, James Hunsaker (NYC: Young Dr. Jekyll), Jonathan Miller, Noah Mogaka, Hillary Fisher (Regional: Little Shop of Horrors), Yassi Noubahar (NYMF: The Body Politic, NYC: Love Sick), Jamie Murray, Sandra Okuboyejo, Josh Lerner (Regional: Brighton Beach Memoirs, NYC: Bhangin’ It!), Tommy Evich, Jazley Genovese, and Caleb Hartsfield
