About the Concert
I acted as a Production Associate for composer/lyricist/performer Matthew McCollum as he made his Feinstein’s/54 Below debut with an evening of ghost stories, both whispered and screamed. McCollum’s music has been featured by the Williamstown Theatre Festival and Yale School of Drama. His musical, The Ballad of Brightwater, garnered acclaim at the ASCAP DreamWorks Musical Theatre Workshop, where it played to a sold-out crowd in Los Angeles this February. Acting credits include Masters of Sex and Judging Amy, and he has been seen on stage performing at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, Berkshire Theatre Group, and 59E59.
The performers included: Mallory Baysek (Off-Broadway: The Lightning Thief), Kate Berman (Off-Broadway: Blueprint Specials), Brennan Caldwell (Off-Broadway: Baghdaddy, Money Talks), Alex Chester (Broadway: Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas), Jonathan Hooks (Marley, The Killer), Emily Jenda (Broadway: The Book of Mormon, Tour: The Bodyguard), Maria-Christina Oliveras (Broadway: Amelie, Off-Broadway: Pretty Filthy), Betsy Struxness (Broadway: Hamilton, Matilda, Wicked), and Carly Zien (Film: “Nightcap”, TV: The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel).
The evening was produced by Dana Meredith Lerner (Broadway: Indecent, Off-Broadway: Hundred Days) and directed by Jen Wineman (Off-Broadway: My Heart Is in the East, Lessons for an Unaccustomed Bride).
